According to the NY Times, Hulu is getting ready for an IPO. Tech IPOs appear to be heating up with recent S-1 filings from both Skype & Demand Media.

The much anticipated Hulu subscription service launched last week. The service dubbed Hulu Plus offers additional content that is available on more platforms than the free service.

Hulu is reportedly working on a content deal with CBS, Viacom and Time Warner. Adding to it’s content lineup would help Hulu in it’s efforts to switch from a free ad-supported service to a paid subscription service.

The NY Times says that it will begin charging for NYtimes.com access starting in 2011. Free access will still be available for users that consume up to a certain number of articles per month (specific terms TBD).
