Phone.com today officially launched a mobile software application that gives Android phone users advanced calling features such as free or cheap international calling. Phone.com hopes to have similar apps available on the Apple iPhone and Blackberry platforms soon.

Thumbtack.com has raised another $1.2 million from angel investors including WebBlogs and Mahalo founder Jason Calacanis. Thumbtack provides listings of local service providers, but differentiates itself by only including listings for companies that compete profiles.
